THE LOWER MILLYARD OVERLAY DISTRICT

RE: Investments, Inc., working in conjunction with Machado Blake Architects and the Bartley family, spearheaded the creation of the Lower Millyard Overlay District. This district, which “overlays” the existing industrial zone, sets guidelines for development of mixed uses on the site including residential, office and retail uses, among others. The Lower Millyard Overlay District (LMOD) is fully incorporated in Amesbury’s zoning ordinance.

The Carriage Hill Landing plan shown herein fully complies with the regulations set out in the LMOD. Per the LMOD procedure, the final version of the site design must receive Special Permit approval before a building permit is granted. RE: Investments and the rest of the team are available to assist the ultimate developer in this final part of the entitlement process.
